Shore-Angling

Shore angling is possible all year round and there are some hot spots on Valentia Island, like Culoo Head, known as the mackerel rock. Dogfish and skate can be found in Glanleam Bay.

A great spot for bass (up to 12 pounds or more), mullett, flounder etc. is Reenroe Beach. A fishing licence is not necessary (only for trout and salmon of course). 

          The daily bag limit is two bass per angler, size limit 40cm (15.75").
