26. September - 2. October 2007 The last entry in our logbook this year! We were lucky and had a nice Indian Summer the last couple of days. Five trips, two to three angler, result: 179 pollock, 2 coalfish, 6 ling, 6 pouting, 2 cod, 1 red gurnard, 1 whiting, 5 cuckoo wrasse and 1 ballan wrasse. Thank you to all our guests for a wonderful and successful season! 17. - 22. September 2007 Rough sea and heavy swell!! Three trips on drift and one day on anchor (IFSA competition) with eight anglers each day. They caught the following: 135 pollock, 12 coalfish, 4 ling, 37 pouting, 3 cod, 2 grey gurnard, 25 cuckoo wrasse, 2 ballan wrasse, 26 conger and 1 dogfish. 3. - 7. September 2007 Glorious sunshine and calm sea. 61 pollock, 36 coalfish, 7 ling, 6 pouting, 8 cod, 4 conger and 1 blueshark (2.24mtr). 28. - 31. August 2007 Two trips on drift and two blueshark trips this week. 56 pollack, 1 coalfish, 4 ling, 1 grey gurnard and 3 bluesharks (the biggest 2.52 mtr) were this weeks success. All bluesharks were of course released. 19. - 24. August 2007 The most exciting day for the two anglers was the last day of their six fishing trips. They caught the first two bluesharks of this season around Valentia Island 13. - 17. August 2007 This week we had three days drift fishing and two days on anchor. The six anglers caught 110 pollock (the biggest 16 pounds), 24 coalfish, 25 ling (the biggest 1.16 mtr) 12 pouting, 2 cod, 1 red gurnard, 1 cuckoo wrasse, 1 ballan wrasse, 9 conger (the biggest 1.42 mtr), 8 dogfish and 1 bullhuss. 6. - 11. August 2007 Six days of angling this week. Four to six anglers had 211 pollock, 9 coalfish, 33 ling, 23 pouting, 18 cod, 4 red gurnard, 1 whiting, 4 cuckoo wrasse and 1 ballan wrasse. 16. July - 2. August 2007 Three to five angler caught during the last nine trips 286 pollock, 48 coalfish, 13 ling, 9 pouting, 49 cod, 1 grey gurnard, 1 red gurnard, 10 cuckoo wrasse, 1 ballan wrasse and 7 conger. 9. - 14. July 2007 Four trips with one to four angler on board. They caught the following fishes: 183 pollock, 24 ling, 10 pouting, 43 cod, 1 red gurnard (3 pounds), 5 cuckoo wrasse and 1 ballan wrasse. 17. - 28. June 2007 Two trips on drift and three times fishing while on anchor with three anglers on board each day. The result as follows: 151 pollock, 26 coalfish, 33 ling, 26 cod, 1 grey gurnard, 1 cuckoo wrasse, 1 ballan wrasse, 13 conger, 7 dogfish, 12 thornback rays and 2 bullhuss.
9. - 16. June 2007 This week we had six trips with six anglers on board each day. They caught 224 pollock, 95 coalfish, 44 link, 25 pouting, 12 cod, 1 whiting, 8 cuckoo wrasse, 7 conger (the biggest 1.63 mtr), 2 dogfish, 1 bullhuss and 1 rockling.
4. - 8. June 2007 Five trips, beautiful weather, four happy anglers and loads of fishes: 165 pollock (the biggest 12 pounds), 84 coalfish, 11 ling, 11 pouting, 14 cod, 1 red gurnard, 2 cuckoo wrasse, 10 conger eel and one thornback ray.
28. May - 2. June 2007 Four trips with 2 to 4 angler on board and they caught 152 pollock, 21 coalfish, 11 ling, 8 pouting and 2 conger eel.
14. - 18. May 2007 Five trips with 6 to 8 angler on board, they caught the following fishes: 147 pollock, 68 coalfish, 12 ling, 16 pouting, 38 cod, 4 whiting, 9 cuckoo wrasse, 1 ballan wrasse and 5 dogfish.
5. and 6. May 2007 Two days EFSA Competition in Cahersiveen. We had 8 anglers each day on board (1 day drift, 1 day anchor) and they caught 125 pollock, 8 coalfish, 8 ling, 22 pouting, 5 cod, 5 dab, 1 plaice, 14 grey gurnard, 26 cuckoo wrasse, 24 ballan wrasse, 1 conger, 4 dogfish, 1 rockling and 1 thornback ray.
27. and 28. April 2007 This week we had two trips with two anglers.They caught 121 pollock, 49 coalfish, 3 ling, 1 pouting and 1 conger.
9. - 14. April 2007 Three trips with two to four anglers on sunny days caught: 91 pollock, 52 coalfish, 1 cod, 2 cuckoo wrasse and 1 ballan wrasse.
Easter Weekend, 7. and 8. April 2007 Two sunny days fishing with calm sea conditions: guests from Germany, France and Florida caught 105 pollock, 134 coalfish, 2 ling, 2 ballan wrasse, 1 cuckoo wrasse, 2 cod and 1 octopus. |
